     "I have always been interested in the healing arts. In fact, one of the desires that drives me as an actor is bringing joy, enlightenment and hope regarding the struggles of the human experience to an audience. I became a hypnotherapist as a continuation of that desire when I hit middle-age and began buying into the prevailing cultural belief that women lose value as we get older...and that a sustainable acting career was impossible for 'women-of-a-certain age.'

A working actress, Mariann Aalda, is also a certified hypnotherapist...who "walks her talk."

More than an acting/audition coach, Mariann is a SUCCESS coach, helping actors release the subconscious blocks to achieving their GREATEST POTENTIAL.

Incorporating hypnosis, guided imagery and neuro-linguistic programming with script analysis, character development and creative self-discovery, she achieves rapid results in confidence-building, improved relaxation, expanded imagination and enhanced intuitive abilities to facilitate making every role uniquely your own.  In addition to working on-set, she has also worked with clients via skype and telephone with excellent results. A 2003 Honors Graduate of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (a comprehensive one-year training program) Aalda is also a graduate of Southern Illinois University and the esteemed Negro Ensemble Company two-year theater training program.  Additional mentors/teachers include Milton Katseles, Stella Adler, Darryl Hickman, Paul Sills and Cheryl O'Neil, C.Ht.
